During this Tour, you'll get to know the history of Peruvian gastronomy.
Our culinary adventure starts at a typical Peruvian market. Here you can see a wide range of Peruvian products on display, and you can enjoy and taste exotic fruits that are hardly or not known in Europe or in the United States. Be surprised by the wide variety of fish and seafood from the Pacific Ocean.
We will also visit one of Lima's most exclusive and well-known restaurants, namely La Rosa Nautica, where you will learn to make your own Pisco Sour and Peru's most acclaimed fish dish namely Ceviche. Afterwards you can enjoy a delicious lunch, consisting of the most symbolic dishes of Peruvian cuisine.
For several years in a row Peru has won the World Travel Awards in the category 'best culinary destination in the world' and not for nothing can one find in Lima no less than three restaurants that are in the Top 50 of the best restaurants in the world, namely Central by top chef Virgilio Martinez, Maido by Mitsuharu Tsumura and Astrid &Gaston of Peru's most famous top chef Gaston Acurio (see video).
Well worth combining your stay in Lima with a visit to one of the above restaurants or perhaps one of the many other restaurants nearby. You will be amazed by Peruvian cuisine, where one can eat delicious food at a very reasonable price.
