Our tour starts with the pick-up at your hotel early in the morning between 4:30 and 5:00 am and then we drive to Mollepata in about two hours time. Here we will have breakfast. After breakfast we drive on for about 1 hour to the starting point of our trek at the town of Soraypampa which is at an altitude of 3900 meters. Here we start with our climb, which will take about a total of 2 hours until we reach the Laguna Humantay, located at an altitude of 4250 meters. Here we have plenty of time to walk around near the lagoon or for the real diehards, to take a dip in the icy water. In the background we see the snowy mountain Humantay (5750 m.) and the Vilcamba mountain range, located in the Peruvian Andes. The guide explains this beautiful place. After about 1 hour we descend again to Soraypampa and from there we go back by van to Mollepata. Here we will have lunch before we drive back to Cusco. Arrival in Cusco is around 18:30.
