Wine & Pisco Tour

In the morning or afternoon you will be picked up at your hotel. We visit a total of 3 wineries where we get to know the entire process of wine production, as well as Peru's national spirit the Pisco.

First, about 3 kilometers from the city of Ica and about 5 minutes drive, we visit Bodega Vista Alegre, where wine and Pisco is produced industrially. This winery is of Italian origin and has existed since 1857. Despite the fact that it has been completely modernized today, one can still see certain facets of the colonial history of this winery in the production process. After this we visit  Bodega Tacama  which is today the largest wine producer in Peru and, like Bodega Vista Alegre, produces wine on an industrial scale. In addition to wine, Tacama also produces Pisco. It is located about 10 kilometers from the town of Ica (10 minutes drive) and was owned by the Jesuits. One can still see the old houses as well as the old stables of this Hacienda. Finally, 34 kilometers southeast of Ica de  Bodega visit Catador  where Pisco and wine are produced in the traditional way and where visitors get a good idea of the centuries-old traditions of viticulture in this area.  In this winery you can see the techniques that have been used for centuries for making Pisco and wine
