Tour to Rainbow Mountain

You will be picked up at the hotel around 04:00 in the morning and then we will drive through the South Valley to the Ausangate region. Around 08:00 we will stop briefly to have breakfast. Then we drive to just below the top of this 'Alternative Rainbow Mountain', this route is less crowded and you are dropped off just below the top. On the route to the top we see the unique mountain flora of the area and with a bit of luck we see vicuñas and chinchillas on route. The vicuña is the only non-domesticated relative of the llama. Furthermore, we see several red-colored mountains during our climb. After a walk / climb of about 60 minutes we arrive at the goal of our hike, the so-called Rainbow Mountain. Here you have about two hours to take pictures and walk around yourself. Then we descend again and we stop for lunch before we drive back to Cusco. Back around 16:00 in Cusco. ​
