Near Nazca we can find Chauchilla which was the place where the Nazcas buried their dead. The Nazcas lived before the Incas and are also responsible for the mysterious lines in the desert. Unfortunately, these graves were all opened and robbed of their valuables by grave robbers, but the mummies were left behind and have been exposed to sunlight and wind for more than 80 years. Yet some are still in good condition. Here one can see mummies that are more than 1000 years old.
